Getting your guidelines published
The Guidelines handbook contains summaries of national and European guidelines. Guidelines published by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) are included, as are guidelines produced by independent professional bodies.
As a number of clinical areas are not covered by these groups, consensus guidelines are also considered for inclusion in Guidelines.
Consensus guidelines are required to meet the following criteria:
- They must be drawn up by a multidisciplinary group including at least one general practitioner
- The members of the group should be drawn from several geographical locations
- The content of the guidelines must be independent of, and not influenced by, commercial sponsorship of the working party.
If you have produced, or are aware of, any guidelines not currently included in the handbook, please contact the editorial team by clicking here
